Located in Rotterdam Center and founded on November 11, 2024 by Mercedes Roggen (winner of Heel Holland Bakt 2023), we have quickly grown into a real hotspot.
Whether you're team sweet or savory, WAFFEL is the place to be. Enjoy a croissant waffle with a matcha latte or specialty coffee from Dino Coffee, in a nice atmosphere where quality and hospitality are key.

FUN FACT
Did you know that the expression "Hou je waffel" (Hold your waffle) actually comes from the kitchen? In the 17th century, baking waffles was a woman's job: the waffle iron had to be kept closed, otherwise the batter would leak out. "Hou je waffel" literally meant: focus on the waffle. At WAFFEL, we take that focus very seriously - but with croissant dough.

When I went to get them I was pleasantly surprised that they are croissant waffles. So good! The white chocolate matcha and pistachio are my favorites.
The WAFFELS are just as good as everyone says. Delicious! And the coffee? Also great. Really recommended when you are walking through the city.
